“We reach a point where, in order to go on, we have to wipe the slate clean. We start to see ourselves as a box that we’re trapped inside and no matter how we try and escape, we just sink further and further down. The only way to truly break out of the box is to get rid of it all together… I mean, you built it in the first place. If the people around you are breaking your spirit, who needs them? Starting over isn’t crazy. Crazy is being miserable and walking around half asleep, numb, day after day after day. Crazy is pretending to be happy. Pretending that the way things are is the way they have to be for the rest of your bleeding life. All the potential, hope, all that joy, feeling, all that passion that life has sucked out of you. Reach out, grab a hold of it and snatch it back from that bloodsucking rabble.”—The Beaver (via sunnydaydelirium)
Please, next time you don’t like how the president/prime-minister/leader of another country is running his/her country, try to talk to him/her in your next global meetings or just use that time to punch him in the face as you wish (in case she is a woman please use the conversation option as priority).
You can show your disapproval in a variety of other ways also but, please, do not send to that country people who have nothing to do with your opinion to kill people who also have nothing to do with the behaviour of his/her leader. Please! Try to act as a man or woman with some dignity once in a while.
In the name of all the so-called “civilians” all over the world, we thank you.
“So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they’re busy doing things they think are important. This is because they are chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives your purpose and meaning.”—Randy Pausch (via humanformat)
“The most adventurous journey to embark on; is the journey to yourself, the most exciting thing to discover; is who you really are, the most treasured pieces that you can find; are all the pieces of you, the most special portrait you can recognize; is the portrait of your soul.”—C. JoyBell C. (via internal-acceptance-movement)
“Practicing authenticity can feel like a daunting choice— there’s risk involved in putting your true self out into the world. But I believe there’s even more risk in hiding yourself and your gifts. Our unexpressed ideas, opinions, and contributions don’t just go away. They are likely to fester and eat away at our worthiness. I think we should be born with a warning label similar to the ones that come on cigarette packages: Caution: if you trade in your authentic self for safety you may experience the following: anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addiction, rage, blame, resentment, and inexplicable grief.”—Brené Brown (via internal-acceptance-movement)
Friend:Hey! Long time no see you! Are you still alive?
Me:I don't know... am I? What is it to be alive? Are we all alive? Because being alive means that there is death, its opposite, but does it really exist? How can we know that? Some say that life is just a dream, that we are nothing more than energy condensed to low vibrations in order for the universe to experience and test itself...
Friend:...well I'm on a bit of a hurry right now but it was nice to see you again so... bye!
“To end the misery that has afflicted the human condition for thousands of years, you have to start with yourself and take responsibility for you inner state at any given moment. That means now.”—Eckhart Tolle (via moreofamore)
Just watched 2 or so minutes of a small 11min-long shocking documentary about meat production… I couldn’t watch more than that, the images were too disturbing…
I already stopped eating meat for some time now but I barely can think of all those years of my life I’d been helping the meat industry flourish while they treat animals like… I don’t know like what honestly, they surely are not humans…
