I’m glad that I have some physiological needs to attend, otherwise I would stay in bed as long as my life would be able to support it…

It is a great mitzvah to be happy always.

Strengthen yourself to push aside all depression and sadness.

Everyone has lots of problems and the nature of man is to be attracted to sadness.

To escape these difficulties, constantly bring joy into your life—even if you have to resort to silliness.

There are different kinds of tears.

Why do we cry? Why did Nature create such reaction? Making water run through our faces and our noses to share an emotion… why like this?

I don’t know what this drawing represents for its author, but for me it shows the different voices and “demons” of the self. And even though they are demons, it does not mean they need to be eliminated from the self. It is rather a good chance to learn from them. Even so because they are actually these demons that make us perform any kind of action. And an action can be shown as either melting ourselves with the mind of these voices, or hearing them and doing exactly the opposite of what they are saying.
So, we can go further and say that this can represent the struggle between the forces of the ego and the forces of divinity. And they are not utterly separated from each other. I would rather say that there is no dualism, in the sense that there is complete opposition between what is defined as “good” and what is defined as “bad”. But instead, there is connection between them, otherwise a person would never be able to make any concept to distinguish them
And so, we can say that these are parallel lines, stretching out to infinity, but united by a 3rd line that is us and through which we walk our lives, connecting them.

You are extremely afraid of any kind of initial contact aren’t you? Are you that afraid of other people? I know that by keeping others at a distance you avoid the betrayal of their trust. But while you might not be hurt that way, you mustn’t forget that you must endure the loneliness. Man can never completely erase this sadness because all men are fundamentally alone.

If nobody cooperates with a decision, that decision will not have any effect on them.
