I guess we have to show to be conscious of our unconscious desires and finally make a choice for the path we want to make.

Unconscious Miracle

Meeting someone is a miracle. From all the 7 billion people there are in the world, why do we have to come across this old lady or that young boy or that beautiful woman or that annoying teacher? Lots and lots of people merging their lives to the very same moment you cross the street, or while you wait at a red light, or when you go purchase your everyday meal,…

And many times you don’t even notice them, they just have secondary roles in this theater, passing by as ghosts without a face, maybe waiting for someone to give them a soul in which they could really start to exist.

However there are also those that reach you by whatever circumstances and they change you and they play a key role in your life and you can’t see how your life could have been without them. Having the guts to step up and appear before you!

And I can only see this as an unconscious miracle happening everyday…

Let’s talk about Sex

There is something that somehow bothers me. Not that I find it offensive or I have anything against it but it makes me think.

Many of the art that we can find nowadays (or at least some of the art I usually find) has to do with the “problematic” of sex.

In my perspective art is intended to open new perspectives, to challenge the norm and to influence society. So that means that there is some kind of a trauma surrounding this issue. In that sense many artists decided that they should explore sexuality as a way of expression, as a way to impact society.

But if you really think about it sex in itself is just as banal as breathing, eating or any other primary necessities. Then we have to ask the question: why all this importance to it?

If the question is simple, the answer is even more simple. Mainly due to religious aspects, sexuality has become something to be feared and restricted. It has been transferred to our subconscious mind and there has been a lot of effort making it stay there.

This caused numerous problems, like blocking sexual maturation of a society and the consequent subconscious pressure of a natural necessity. With repression of an instinct comes the preversion of behaviour and the phenomena described as crimes.

It is my opinion (just based on empirical analysis), that any kind of restriction, either if it is sex or speech for example, it will accumulate a certain amount of tension in the human mind and it only takes the correct junction of events to release itself in the more unexpected and sometimes dangerous ways.

What would be a solution to the “problem” of sex? First, it should be treated as a simple and natural need of any human being to put it back to the human conscious mind. Second, there are already numerous ways to release that accumulated energy even without invading other’s people freedoms and well being. I think that technological advancements can surely play a key role on this last aspect. Even if it seems strange I think that it should be made an effort to find a solution to any kind of human desire, in a technological sense, without harming others or nature. Some of these solution are however treated by society as perversions and often marginalized, but the main perversion is the restriction of the human natural desires with its unnatural consequences.

Personally I’m not a big fan of sex but, maybe because of that, I can see how the world is constantly fighting against its natural impulses and how culture needs to be changed in this regard if it wants to solve many of the social problems it faces.

Finally I’d like to mention that this is just an opinion, I’m not any all-knowing-God so if you have a different perspective I respect it even if I don’t agree with it. The discussion of these issues can be helpful to society in some ways so that’s why I’m now making my modest contribution.

Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.
